The Look of Stone. The Strength of Concrete. None of the Paver Headaches.
Stamped concrete is poured concrete that's stamped while wet to create patterns, textures, and color variations that mimic natural stone, slate, brick, cobblestone, or wood plank. The structural strength is identical to plain concrete (4,000+ PSI). The visual result rivals natural stone or pavers — with significantly lower long-term maintenance.
Concrete Designs LLC has installed stamped concrete across more than 300 projects in Miami-Dade and Broward County since 2004 — from compact stamped patios in Hialeah to multi-pattern stamped driveways in Coral Gables and Pinecrest, to full pool deck and patio combinations in Aventura, Weston, and Pembroke Pines. We carry 50+ stamp patterns, multiple sealer systems for different applications, and color matching services that work with your home's existing stone, stucco, and roof.
Properly installed and sealed, stamped concrete lasts 25–40 years — and unlike pavers, it doesn't shift, doesn't grow weeds at the joints, doesn't require sand replacement every 2–3 years, and doesn't develop those uneven spots that trip you up at night. Re-seal every 3–5 years and that's it for maintenance.
Pattern Categories We Pour
50+ stamp patterns available. Here are the main categories — we'll bring sample boards and finished examples to your free on-site consultation.
1. Flagstone & Slate
Random natural stone patterns, irregular slate textures, and Roman slate. The most popular pattern family for South Florida patios and pool decks. Multi-color blends create depth and natural variation.
2. Brick & Cobblestone
Herringbone brick, basket-weave brick, running bond, English cobblestone, and old-world cobblestone patterns. Classic look ideal for traditional South Florida homes and driveways.
3. Wood Plank
Wood-look stamped concrete with grain detail, knot patterns, and color staining that mimics weathered teak, walnut, or driftwood. Modern and unique. Used on patios, walkways, and pool decks.
4. Italian Tile / Large Format
Large-format tile patterns (12x24, 16x32, 24x24) and Italian travertine looks. Modern, clean aesthetic. Popular for contemporary patios and pool decks where homeowners want a "tile-look" without the grout maintenance.
5. Ashlar / European Fan
Geometric stone patterns including Ashlar slate, European fan, and ashlar cut stone. Elegant, formal looks for entryways, walkways, and decorative borders around pools and patios.
6. Custom & Combo Designs
Combine multiple patterns: stamped border around plain concrete center, mixed brick and slate, Italian tile with cobblestone borders. Custom pattern combinations for one-of-a-kind looks.
Every stamped concrete project is quote-based. Final price depends on square footage, pattern, color count, demo, sealer system, site access, and permitting requirements. Free written quote at the on-site consultation.
