What We Build

Pavers Done Right Last 30 Years. Done Wrong, They Sink in Three.

Most failed paver jobs in South Florida aren't a paver problem — they're a base problem. Skip the limerock compaction, skip the edge restraints, skip the polymeric sand, and the project starts shifting the first heavy rain. We don't skip steps.

Concrete Designs LLC has poured driveways, patios, and pool decks across Miami-Dade and Broward for 20+ years. We added paver installation to our line because more clients are asking for the look of stone, brick, or travertine without giving up the durability of a properly engineered base.

We install every type of residential paver — from cost-friendly concrete pavers to high-end travertine and porcelain — using the same disciplined process we use on poured concrete: proper sub-base prep, compacted limerock to grade, polymeric sand joints, and edge restraints on every project. That's why our work holds up under Florida heat, hurricane rain, and decades of daily use.

We're a father-and-son family-owned business. The owner — Manny Mollinedo — runs every estimate and check-in personally. You're not getting a salesman who hands the project off to a sub. You're getting our family's name on your paver project.

Paver Types We Install

The Right Paver for Your Project, Budget, and Look

Every paver type has a use case where it shines and a use case where it's the wrong call. Here's a quick overview — we'll walk through which one fits your project at your free on-site consultation.

1. Concrete Pavers

Quote-Based

The most versatile and cost-friendly paver. Manufactured concrete blocks in dozens of colors and shapes (rectangular, interlocking, cobblestone-style). Strong, easy to repair section-by-section, and the right call for most residential driveways, patios, and walkways.

2. Brick Pavers

Quote-Based

Classic clay brick with the warm red-orange tone you can't fake. Excellent slip resistance, ages beautifully, and pairs perfectly with Mediterranean and historic-style homes. Common in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and older neighborhoods.

3. Travertine Pavers

Quote-Based

Natural stone with a soft cream, beige, or walnut color. Stays cool underfoot — the top choice for pool decks and patios. Honed or tumbled finishes available. A premium look without the maintenance demands of marble.

4. Porcelain Pavers

Quote-Based

Modern, ultra-low-maintenance, and slip-resistant. Porcelain pavers can mimic wood, stone, or concrete with photorealistic finishes. Doesn't stain, doesn't fade, and resists Florida algae growth. A favorite for contemporary builds and pool decks.

5. Permeable Pavers

Quote-Based

Engineered to let water drain through the joints into the base layer below — reduces runoff, helps with drainage issues, and qualifies for some HOA and city stormwater requirements. Great for properties with flat lots or low drainage spots.

6. Cobblestone & Custom Designs

Quote-Based

European cobblestone, herringbone patterns, color borders, contrasting bands, circular drive layouts — we design and install custom paver layouts to match the architectural style of your home. Common in luxury Pinecrest, Aventura, and Weston projects.

Where Pavers Shine

Driveways, Patios, Walkways & Pool Decks

Same family of materials, four different installations. Pricing depends on square footage, paver type, and base prep complexity — every project is quote-based.

Why South Florida Hires Us

Built for Florida. Backed by 20+ Years.

The difference between a paver project that lasts 30 years and one that fails in three is invisible — it's under the pavers. Here's where we don't cut corners.

Proper Base Prep

Compacted limerock or crushed concrete sub-base, brought to grade and tested. We use a plate compactor in lifts, not a quick once-over. Skipping this is the #1 reason pavers shift in 3 years.

Edge Restraints on Every Project

Without proper edge restraints, the perimeter pavers walk outward and the whole field destabilizes. We install rigid edge restraints on every driveway, patio, and walkway. Not optional.

Polymeric Sand — Always

Regular sand washes out in the first heavy rain. Polymeric sand hardens into a flexible joint that resists weeds, ants, and washout. Costs more, lasts longer. We use it on every install.

Permits & HOA Handled

Every Miami-Dade and Broward city we work in. Aventura, Pinecrest, Coral Gables, Weston, Parkland, gated communities — we know the rules and pull the paperwork. You don't deal with the city.

Fixed-Price Quote

Every estimate is a real, written, fixed-price number — no vague ranges, no surprise change orders. What we quote is what you pay, barring scope changes you approve.

Frequently Asked

Things People Ask Before They Hire

Real answers — no fine print, no surprises.

What kinds of pavers do you install?
Concrete pavers, brick pavers, travertine pavers, porcelain pavers, cobblestone, and permeable paver systems — for driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, and entryways. If you're unsure which fits your project, we'll walk through the options at your free on-site quote.
Are pavers better than poured concrete?
Neither is universally better — they solve different problems. Pavers offer more design flexibility, are easier to repair section-by-section, and handle slight ground movement better. Poured concrete is typically lower total cost, easier to clean (no joint weeds), and faster to install. We do both, so we'll give you a straight answer about which fits your project at the quote.
How long does paver installation take?
Most residential patios and walkways take 2–4 days once we start. Driveways typically run 3–6 days. Permits and material lead time add 2–4 weeks before the install date. We give you a real timeline at quote, not a rough guess.
Will weeds grow between the pavers?
We use polymeric sand in every joint, which hardens after activation and stops most weed growth and sand washout. With routine sealing every 3–5 years, weeds are a non-issue on properly installed paver projects.
Do pavers shift or sink over time?
Only if the base prep is wrong. We compact a 4–6 inch limerock or gravel base in lifts, then a leveling sand layer, then the pavers, then edge restraints. Cut corners on the base and pavers fail in a few years. Done right, they stay flat for decades.
Can pavers go over an existing concrete slab?
Yes, in many cases. Porcelain and travertine pavers can be installed over a solid existing slab with proper drainage planning. We'll check the slab condition during the on-site quote and tell you if it's a fit — or if removing and starting fresh is the smarter call.
Do you offer financing on paver projects?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing for up to 24 months through Wisetack, and longer-term financing through Wells Fargo. Soft credit check, instant decision, no impact to your score. See our financing page for the full breakdown.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Concrete Designs LLC is fully licensed and insured. We pull every permit ourselves and handle all city inspections in-house.
